      Translation (Burgess):

      In a Mahayuga, the circle of stars oscillates eastward 600 times.

      Establishes the Trepidation Theory of Precession. Rather than a continuous 25,700-year cycle, the Siddhanta models precession as a swinging motion of 27° in either direction. 600 cycles in a Mahayuga implies an annual rate of 54 seconds of arc.
