      Sanskrit (Devanagari):

      मान्दं कर्मैकं अर्कॆन्दोः भौमादीनाम् अथ उच्यते। शैघ्यं मान्दं पुनर्मान्दं शैघ्यं चत्वारि अनुक्रमात्॥

      Translation (Burgess):

      A single Manda-correction is for the Sun and Moon; for Mars and the rest, it is stated that there are four: first Sighra, then Manda, again Manda, then Sighra.

      Modern Technical Commentary:

      The standard iterative procedure for star-planets. Because the two corrections (Manda and Sighra) are interdependent, the Siddhanta requires a sequence of half-corrections followed by full-corrections to converge on the true position.

      Implements the rigorous four-step correction procedure: 1. Apply half of the Sighra-phala to the Mean Longitude. 2. Apply half of the Manda-phala to the result. 3. Apply the full Manda-phala to the original Mean Longitude to find the 'Manda-spashta'. 4. Apply the full Sighra-phala to the 'Manda-spashta' to find the final 'True Longitude'.
